We’re looking for Local Heroes from across Scotland who make a positive impact in their communities and deserve to be recognised as part of this year’s Hoolie in the Hydro. Whether they volunteer, support young people, champion local culture, sport or music, or simply go above and beyond to help others, we want to hear about the people who bring their communities together and make a real difference.

Nominations are open from Monday 7th September to Sunday 4th October 2026. We’ll ask you to tell us about your Local Hero, why they deserve to be recognised, and the difference they make within their community.

Once nominations close, the Hoolie team will select a number of Local Heroes from each of Scotland's council areas. Each chosen nominee will receive a pair of tickets to Hoolie in the Hydro at Glasgow's OVO Hydro on Saturday 12th December 2026.

With their permission, we also hope to share some of our Local Heroes’ stories on social media to shine a light on the incredible people making communities across Scotland stronger every day.
